No Limits to Better
Transforming Business, Education, and Business Education for Human and Planetary Flourishing
More than fifty years after The Limits to Growthchallenged the world to confront the ecological consequences of unlimited material expansion, No Limits to Better asks a complementary question:
What if there are limits to growth, but no limits to better?
There are clear planetary limits to extraction, emissions, consumption, and material throughput. But there need not be equivalent limits to human dignity, creativity, wisdom, learning, care, cooperation, regeneration, or flourishing.
The challenge of our time is therefore not simply to stop what is unsustainable. It is to redesign the systems that shape human behavior and societal development so that they produce better outcomes for people and planet.
No Limits to Better is a systems-transformation initiative focused on three deeply interconnected domains:
Business. Education. Business Education.
Together, these systems shape how we understand progress, educate leaders, allocate resources, organize work, define success, and influence the future.
The initiative convenes system-level actors across business, universities, business schools, civil society, global networks, foundations, and thought leadership to develop the ideas, capacities, institutional prototypes, and ecosystems required for a transition toward human and planetary flourishing.
Humanistic Management and Humanistic Leadership provide a foundational architecture for this work. They begin with the inherent dignity of the human person and ask how organizations and institutions can enable people, communities, societies, and the living planet to flourish.
Through the Club of Rome, the International Humanistic Management Association, the Humanistic Leadership Academy, the Presencing Institute, and a growing network of global partners, No Limits to Better seeks to move beyond critique toward transformation.
Its proposition is both simple and ambitious:
There may be limits to how much more we can consume.
There are no predetermined limits to how much better we can organize, lead, learn, cooperate, and flourish.
No Limits to Better is an invitation to redesign the systems that shape our future.
